Maybe there’s hope!!! ðŸ˜Š

So…. after having disappeared from my blog for a few months, I actually have something to write about! It looks like my emotional rollercoaster wasn’t ready to come to a halt.

After being plagued by such a thin, unresponsive endometrium that the doctor even advised against spending the money to TTC and warned against a very high risk pregnancy… miraculously my periods appear to have “come back” in August and September.

I had an IUD (copper coil) put in last month and I’ve had 2 bleeds since then – 4 days each, needing multiple pad changes each day.

I’m not sure if it’s a result of the coil insertion having somehow woken up my uterus (even though hormones couldn’t!) or some natural fluke. I’m not even sure these are real periods even though they’re “on time”.

Has anyone had/known of someone who has had their periods return to normal after over a year of very very light bleeding (1 day periods) and thin lining?

According to my fertility doctor, whom I briefly spoke to today, this is very unusual and a coil shouldn’t have this affect so I have to book a scan to check nothing is “broken”. But if these are real periods then I may get to be a mama yet!!
I’m trying not to get my hopes up too much, but it’s so hard not to.
